To follow up 'Hide', I decided to create a more instrumentally creative album. Hence, 'Light Up The Sky' was born. On the album, you'll find mandolins, basses, and, on the title track, glockenspiels. This gives the album a different feel. The album also touches on the more melancholy areas avoided in 'Hide' (and played on to the extreme on the 'Pronounced EP'). On this album, the balance of emotion in songs is a little more even. Also, the songwriting on 'Light Up The Sky' is a little more unique and different to 'Hide'. The reason is because I had to write a bunch of new songs and not just rely on a massive build up of old songs to pull me through.
