The Best People Are The Broken Ones,

This album is a sort of returning to the sort of music that I really love. I have some new production software so that explains why the sound quality is better in some of the tracks. I still recorded some of the album in Audacity, because that's what I've done before, and it feels more honest than some of the new stuff, but yeah. I'm pretty happy with some of the contents of this album.
It uses versions of some of the music that I've been making in the interim, with Rakonto, as well as a song that was originally Soliet, but was released with a Rakonto version first. I've had a really cool time with this Rakonto project, and have released an album, and so after that, I was able to focus on this album, and really get to work to make this album really good.
I also play piano, and that's something that I've been trying to do on a few Soliet albums, but because of Audacity's limitations, was never able to do. I'm not great, my native instrument being guitar, however, I really love the piano, so it feels like I've been able to put a bit more of me into the album.
The songwriting, and the sound has all been in a move to create an album that sounded the most reflective of me as a person that I could make. It feels like the most comfortable album I've ever made, it's that natural.

Josef Soliet, recording only under his last name, is a 16 year-old singer-songwriter. As well as creating his static-filled, folky bedroom recordings, he also records under the names Rakonto (rakonto.bandcamp.com) where he creates alternative electronica music, and Sochio (sochio.bandcamp.com), where he puts his sample-based, instrumental music.
